Lindsay Savona Donka
Lindsay Savona-Donka is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts School of Law at Dartmouth receiving her undergraduate degree in finance from Lasell College in Newton Ma. Currently residing in New London with her Husband and son, Lindsay enjoys running, working out, cooking, and traveling with her family.
Lindsay has completed the 40 hour Guardian Ad Litem training class at Quinipiaac Univerysity in Hamden so she can represent the best interest of children in cases where custody/access is disputed. Additionally Lindsay has completed similar mediation training classes at Quinipiaac Univeristy in Hamden and received her mediation certificate so she can mediate divorce and custody cases.
Lindsay’s main area of practice is in Family Law. This encompasses cases such as divorce, legal separation, custody, access, child support, alimony, post judgment modifications, restraining orders, and educational support hearings. Lindsay is a trained mediator and likes to offer this service for parties whom are interested in an a non-contentious process.
Marion Fitzpatrick is Senior Director, Portfolio Leader Strategic Transaction in World Wide Business Development at Pfizer. She has over 23 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and speaks 5 languages.
After attending schools in Germany, The Netherlands and South Africa, Marion obtained a Masters of Human Genetics from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa and the South African Institute for Medical Research. After moving to London, UK, she worked at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund and at Wellcome. In 1993 she moved to Connecticut where she met her husband. They live in Waterford and have two children in the local school system.
Dipti Shah lives in Waterford, CT with her two children and husband for the past sixteen years. Dipti is a CPA at Hoyt, Filippetti & Malaghan, LLC in Groton, CT. She loves to read, cook and travel with her family.
Millie is a graduate of Waterford High School, Waterford, CT, and received a BA with honors in business administration from Upper Iowa University, Fayette, Iowa. She is a graduate of the New England School of Banking at Williams College with a trust major and a 1978 graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She is also a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP)®.
Millie has had a long career in the Trust business currently Vice President & Trust Officer at Dime Bank. She has administered numerous private foundations and serves as Chair of the Grants Committee as well as Secretary for WEF.
Deborah Carter is a Real Estate Agent with Remax on the Bay (Bowes Team). She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and worked 13+ years as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator. In her spare time, Deborah enjoys volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. She is a member of Kiwanis Club (New London) and on the board for Habitat Humanity’s Events Committee. Deborah moved from Atlanta, Georgia, she is originally from Chicago, Illinois. She lives in Waterford CT with her husband, son, and their dog Juno. Hobbies include: cooking, sewing, crafts, gardening, fishing and sports.
Deborah (Debby) Green is currently a professional volunteer focusing mainly on the homeless and putting out a newsletter called the Scrounger, looking to give used items a new home. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a BA and MA in Mathematics. She joined the US Navy and taught at the Nuclear Power School. She has taught Math in high school and college as her family has moved around following her husband’s Navy career. While living in Waterford her two sons went through the Waterford education system and Debby was involved with the PTO. In addition to doing volunteer activities, she is very involved in her church. After joining the WEF board she took over the organizing of the Spelling Bee.
Nancy Macione joined the Waterford Education Foundation in September of 2013. She is a retired educator, having worked for many years in Connecticut as a speech pathologist, and for twelve years as an elementary school principal in Waterford. Nancy holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Southern Connecticut State University, a Sixth Year in Administration and Supervision from Sacred Heart University, and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Connecticut. Nancy and her husband Jim live in Waterford.
Barbara Bentley Wolfe is the Head of School at Solomon Schechter Academy of New London. Prior to this she was a second and third grade teacher in the Waterford Public Schools. She continues to ignite children so they are prepared for a lifetime of learning and exploring. Barbara lives in Waterford with her husband, Scott. She has 3 adult boys who attended Waterford schools from Kindergarten through to Waterford High School graduation.
A Waterford resident since 2004 and a proud parent of two students in Waterford schools, Jennifer Zettler is an enthusiastic supporter of Waterford and everything it has to offer. Jennifer has held various teaching and leadership roles in local educational and non-profit organizations, and is looking forward to working on the Board of WEF as it continues to grow and serve the Waterford community. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Jennifer resides in Waterford with her husband, Scott, and two daughters.
Tracy Moore – Assistant Principal Clark Lane Middle School
Tracy Moore, Assistant Principal, Clark Lane Middle School, Waterford, CT. 2013-present. Mrs. Moore brings seventeen years of professional experience in education to Waterford. She holds a Masters of Education in Educational Technology from the University of Hartford, and a Bachelor of Science in Math and Science Studies from Vanderbilt University. In addition, she successfully completed all coursework for her Administrator Certificate at Sacred Heart University.
James Sachs – Principal Clark Lane Middle School
Principal, Clark Lane Middle School, Waterford, CT. 2011-present. Mr. Sachs has a Bachelor of Arts from Connecticut College where he majored in Government and minored in History. He obtained his Masters in the Art of Teaching (MAT) from Quinnipiac University. Mr. Sachs received his 6th Year Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Connecticut State University. Mr. Sachs was Dean of Students for three years at C. M. McGee Middle School in Berlin and then Assistant Principal for three years at Berlin High School. He came to Clark Lane Middle School in July of 2011.
